Mehboob Nadeem was born into an illustrious family of traditional musicians of the Agra Gharana. A gifted artist, Mehboob possesses a keen aesthetic sense and a mature appreciation of the classical raga.  His performances are truly unique and inspiring and have enthralled audiences across three continents.

Gurdain Rayatt is one of Europe's finest young tabla players. Though UK-based, his style incorporates a vast expanse of ideas from the Punjab, Benares and Farukhabad gharanas. Gurdain's projects include work with leading orchestras such as the Philharmonia.

Huw Watkins, piano

Huw Watkins regularly features on BBC Radio Three, both as a performer and as a composer. Described by the Financial Times as 'one of the most rounded composer-musicians in the UK', Huw now teaches composition at the Royal Academy of Music.

Gareth Brynmor John, baritone

Baritone Gareth Bynmor John held a choral scholarship at St John's College Cambridge and completed his studies at the Royal Academy of Music.  He won the Kathleen Ferrier prize in 2013 and has since established a significant career successfully striding the worlds of opera, oratorio and art song.

British quintet Connaught Brass were winners of the inaugural Philip Jones International Brass Competition in 2019.  Made up from students of The Royal Academy of Music and the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, Connaught are steadily building an international reputation.
